Stormwater System

Overview: The Melstone Valley Stormwater Management Retrofit project is initiated by the Carroll County Board of County Commissioners. The project initial phase was wrapped up in the fall of 2025, and the assigned team is actively monitoring the detention pond to ensure it is functioning properly, especially after heavy rains. July Storm Damage

The park area sustained some storm damage during the storm on July 4th, 2026. Thankfully the playground equipment was spared, but the baseball backstop in the back corner of the park was not. Please use caution if you decide to use that area or allow your children to play on the playground equipment. Smaller trees/branches will be cleared shortly by volunteers in the neighborhood, however, the larger trees will need to be removed by a tree company and will take place as soon
